Peter Sohn is Directing 'The Good Dinosaur'

The Good Dinosaur has certainly gone through a lot of bumps in its production. The film was originally scheduled to come out last May, but because of production troubles, the release date moved to 2015. Bob Peterson, the initial director of the movie, was withdrawn from The Good Dinosaur last year (He is now working on future projects). Pixar's Twitter page just announced that the movie's director is now Peter Sohn. Pete has worked at Pixar for a while and directed the short film Partly Cloudy. He has also voiced several Pixar characters including Emile (Ratatouille) and Squishy (Monsters University).

Here's the synopsis for the movie: 'The Good Dinosaur' asks the generations-old question: What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? The film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively 70-foot-tall teenage Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event rattles Arlo’s tranquil community, he sets out on a quest to restore peace, gaining an unlikely companion along the way—a young human boy named Spot.
